Rafael Nadal: Legend, King of Roland Garros

At 27 just turned, Rafael Nadal Parera makes tennis history with his eighth world title at Roland Garros. After 2 hours and 16 minutes of play Nadal beats David Ferrer 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. and became the only one to have won at least one Grand Slam in nine consecutive years. He is also the first man to win the same Grand Slam tournament eight times. He is a legend and King.

Rafael Nadal:King of Roland Garros

With its legendary status growing, some are finding it difficult to separate Nadal from Roland Garros. I would suggest that Nadal is Roland Garros. Nadal becomes the undisputed king of Paris, a tournament he has ruled with an iron hand in recent years, not counting the conceded defeat in 2009 against Sweden's Robin Soderling, the only one in this tournament.

The Spaniard dominated yesterday's game and there is no clear end of his reign. It was the Spaniad fourth final of the tournament's history. He is on an amazing run since returning in February after a double knee injury: six titles, two finals and now his twelfth Grand Slam, which puts him 17 and five above Roger Federer and equal the 12 Australian Roy Emerson.
