The album “When Worshippers Gather” was recorded in virginia, during one of Sonnie Badu’s numerous visits to America. On the album Sonnie Badu released some of his new hit songs such as Amazing God, Son Of David, a powerful rendition of It Is Well and also included a very catchy reggae medley.

“I thank God for giving me these songs as l believe that the songs on this album will be a blessing to many” said Sonnie Badu.

Sonnie Badu is known for his trend as the pace setter in African gospel music. Last September, he became the first African artist to stage a performance at the Wembley Stadium. The concert saw thousands of people in attendance, as they came to witness the National day of prayer with many gospel greats such as Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, Noel Robinson and Graham kendricks. Sonnie took the crowd by storm when he performed two songs (Yaweh and Ese Oluwa) from his current album ''Colours of Africa''. Arguably Africa's best-known worshipper, the “Covenant keeping God” and “Baba,” singer continues to make waves in the international gospel industry.

He is one of Africa’s biggest gospel artist. The multiple award winning artist Sonnie Badu emerged the biggest winner of 2012 edition of the Africa Gospel Awards (AGMA) scooping two plaques.

The gospel sensation claimed the awards for the Album of the Year for his Colours Of Africa album and was also awarded with the Trailblazer award as a special recognition for his immense contribution to African gospel .
