He died Chinua Achebe. Death of one of the fathers of modern African literature. Nigerian writer and poet Chinua Achebe died early Friday in the United States at the age of 82. He became famous after his first novel, "Things fall apart" was founded in the late fifties. The book about - the people of Igbo culture and colonization.

Chinua Achebe often criticized the leaders of his country and the entire black African living in the rhythm of military coups. The system of government in these countries, the author described as "kleptocracy".

Achebe was a supporter of Biafran independence and acted as an ambassador for the new nation. All his life he wrote about the problems of Africa and always prefer traditional Nigerian outfits.

He wrote in English and defended the use of the "language of colonizers" in African literature. He was the most translated writer in Africa. 

Achebe issued a total of more than 20 books, including several novels - including "It is no longer easy", "Arrow of God", "Venerable Nanga cacique" and "Anthills of the Savannah", volumes of poetry, collections of short stories and essays (in Poland appeared in the sketches "Education child under British supervision"). 

 In 1975, he delivered a controversial lecture and published "Image of Africa: Racism in 'Heart of Darkness' Conrad', which is an uncompromising critique of Joseph Conrad.

Achebe will go down in history as a critical thinker. The father of African Literature and  the 'Man of the people'
