Nigeria shoot up the rankings after Afcon

Nigeria have jumped a massive 22 places in the latest Fifa rankings released yesterday.
They are now 30th in the world and 4 in Africa, after winning the being crowned the champions of Africa at the recent Africa Cup of Nations.

Ivory Coast remain the best-placed African team and actually rose two places in the global rankings after the Nations Cup. They are now positioned 12th in the world.

Ghana are second in the African list, followed by Mali.
Spain continue to head the global list, followed by Germany, Argentina, England and Italy. Brazil's loss to England in a friendly match this month means they have dropped to 18th, their lowest position since the rankings began in 1993
