Biafra revolt plot swirls

Biafra revolt plots swirl

Rage over bad governance fuel thousands of Nigerians who finds resonance to support a new Biafra movements waging eastern rebellion against the central government in Abuja.

“If the government treated us justly, there would be none of these problems,” said one un-named fan.
Although millions of supporters hastily deny any campaign of violence, the new revolt is gathering pace that will provide stability to Africa’s largest oil producer.

“The government is supposed to look after health, education, water, but we see them doing nothing except getting richer and richer, so why are they surprised there is a rebellion?” Another supporter added.

Forty three years on and after founder Ojukwu gave up the ghost, a new pro- Biafra group, Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM), has given indications that a new Biafra would be inaugurated on February 20, 2013.

The president of the new Biafran group, B.I. Onwuka told Daily Sun his association had noted the mistakes that truncated the first attempt for the emergence of Biafra even as he insisted that BZM was determined to succeed in its latest bid for the creation of a sovereign entity to be called Biafra!
