Pakistan, Japan, Russia, China and the world sends condolences to U.S over connecticut shooting

Pakistan has sent condolences to the United Sates over the shooting incident at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday, local media reported Saturday.

"The Government and people of Pakistan convey their deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of United States on the tragic incident at the elementary school in Connecticut on Friday," the Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of victims," a Foreign Ministry statement said.

A gunman slaughtered 28 people, including 20 children, at an elementary school in Newtown. The shooting is the second most deadly in U.S. history, only after the Virginia Tech Massacre in April 2007, which claimed 33 lives.
